Rushmore Park land is owned by St Albans Diocesan Board of Finance, Church of England.
Caddington Parish Council lease the land from the Church, however due to rent increases and numerous reported incidents of anti social behavior centered around the park, the parish council are not renewing the current lease.
Part of the lease conditions specify all equipment is removed from site by 24th December 2022. Contractors started removal works on Monday 19th December.
Caddington Parish Council own and maintain two play areas located near Elm Avenue and Edgecote Close and plan to make further improvements to these in 2023.
There is also a play area at Caddington Woods owned and maintained by the CaSE Trust.
