Dear fellow Caddingtonians,

Although we will be holding a small Service at the War Memorial this year, it is with great regret I inform you all that this will be a CLOSED ceremony, and WILL NOT be a public participation event.

This decision has been made in line with the most current advice from Government, Local Authority and Public Health England, and in light of the ongoing increase in Covid restrictions. As such, we will unfortunately be unable to invite the traditional extended representatives of Caddington Village or members of the general public.

Access to the Churchyard will be restricted between 10.30am & 11.30am to ensure that the planned amended Service can go ahead safely.

The Parish Council respectfully urges that you DO NOT attend the Churchyard during this time, but to please pay tribute at home to those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

To minimise attendance, there will be a small selected group of individuals present at the War Memorial on the day to ensure this important event is still suitably, traditionally & respectfully honoured.

If you would still like to have a wreath laid on your behalf, or on behalf of a Village Organisation, please order as normal through the Royal British Legion, on 0345 845 1945, and pass it to me by 6th Nov. I will ensure it is placed during the Service.

There will be an opportunity for up to 100 villagers to join us on Zoom at 10:50am on Remembrance Sunday when we will be having a full Remembrance Service in the church. Log in details are below:
