Please see below text (in BOLD) from Central Bedfordshire Council Planning regarding their Draft Local Plan. The Parish Council strongly urge everyone in the villages of Caddington and Slip End to view the plan and make comments as you feel appropriate. (Note: there is an event in Caddington on 9th August at the Recreation Club, Manor Rd where you will be able to talk to CBC about the draft plan)
The Parish Council along with Slip End Parish Council are in process of writing to CBC with our views on the plan and how it affects our villages.
THE PARISH COUNCILS WILL BE OBJECTING TO PROPOSALS IN THE LOCAL PLAN TO BUILD BETWEEN 2000 AND 4600 HOUSES IN AN AREA CALLED “Option 5 – LAND WEST OF LUTON” WHICH IMMEDIATELY ABUTS CADDINGTON AND SLIP END. (This side of the M1 motorway.)
CADDINGTON AND SLIP END PARISH COUNCILS STRONGLY URGE ALL RESIDENTS TO ATTEND THE EVENT AT THE CLUB ON 9TH AUGUST AND ALSO TO SEND COMMENTS TO CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL.
(IN THE NEAR FUTURE WE WILL BE LEAFLETING EVERY HOUSE IN THE PARISHES WITH SUGGESTIONS TO THE SORT OF COMMENTS YOU MIGHT WANT TO SEND THEM.)
