It has been traditional in Caddington to nominate a villager or citizen of the year. This is a person who has been consistently and actively involved in voluntarily servicing the Caddington parish and residents during the past two years or more, and who has demonstrated many or all of the following characteristics:
– giving their time unstintingly and without financial payment or gain
– perhaps carrying out essential work with little thanks or obvious reward
– selflessly striving to make a positive difference to the lives of others
– true dedication commitment and drive to create positive change or improvement

The person must live in Caddington and their work must have been carried out within the Parish

Previous award recipients are not eligible for nomination. Employees of Caddington Parish Council and current serving councillors and their spouses are not eligible for nomination until at least two years after resignation.
