As well as prioritising services, they are also re configuring resources to focus on those activities which are paramount to public safety and public health and request residents to bear with them and consider if request is absolutely critical.CBC has set up a COVID-19 Community Hub to respond to requests for support from those who are clinically vulnerable (people whose health conditions mean they need to be shielded from the virus as it could be especially dangerous to them if they were infected) or from others who are vulnerable and do not have access to family or friends for help. The Hub has been busy making up and delivering food parcels to those most in need. Staff are also proactively calling vulnerable residents to clarify what help and support they might need to ensure the right support can be put in place. If any concerns about any vulnerable residents that you feel don’t have the support of friends and family and are in need, please complete form on website at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/covidhelp or call 0300 300 8900. This helpline is available 7 days a week (9am-4pm at the weekends).
