Wanted
We urgently need a cleaner at the Collings-Wells Hall. The job (paid) entails 2 hours on a Monday and ½ hour on a Friday at a time to suit your convenience. If you or you know anyone who may be interested, please contact Peter Graham (738470) or Mike Wager (417659).

The new church cleaning list starts in March. Is there anyone who would like to help to clean the church? At the moment, each group cleans once every seven weeks. The more people we have on the rota, the less often we have to do the cleaning! Please let Christine Graham (738470) know by Tuesday 2nd March, if you would like to help. Thank you.

Sunday 25th April London Marathon
"Duncan Byrne is running the London Marathon on 25th April in a large Womble suit. He is raising money for the Jesuit Missions for two projects in Zimbabwe: to fund the building of a school boarding house for AIDS orphans and secondly to provide basic computer equipment for a school in Harare. If you would be prepared to sponsor him, please complete the sponsor form at the back of the church or go to http://www.justgiving.com/Duncan-Byrne ."

Lent Challenge and House Groups
The cards with the verses on for the: Read it. Pray it. Learn it. Do it challenge are available today on the back table. Do take a set of cards and see how you get on with the challenge.

Lent groups are also on the board at the back of church. Every effort has been made to accommodate as many people on the day of their choice. If you have been allocated a group that you cannot make please let me know-you are welcome to join another group if this is possible.

Saturday 3rd July- Churches Together in Caddington: Outing to Wintershall
We propose to take a party to the Wintershall play "The Life of Christ" We will need to leave at about 8am and leave Wintershall (near Guildford) at about 5pm. The cost of each ticket is £15 per adult and £7 per child. It is a truly amazing experience. A day which follows the life of Jesus from birth to his Ascension in a beautiful parkland setting. Please consider this " pilgrimage" and let Ruth know as soon as possible if you would like to go. We will book a number of tickets in faith and hope to fill them!

Saturday 6th March Living Hope, Green Churches, Green Schools. Day Conference for people interested in the church's role in 'caring for creation'. Main speakers and workshops. Venue: Great Missenden. ask Ruth for details.

Aged 15-29? Diocesan Pilgrimage to Taizé 24th July - 2nd August. Bus travel, camping accommodation. A great opportunity to meet other young people from across the world and encounter God in a new way.

Fairtrade Fortnight 22nd February-7th March 2010.
The Big Brew is a national initiative encouraging schools, churches, workplaces and any other organisation, to host a fair trade tea party event anytime during Fairtrade Fortnight,
Traidcraft is delighted to be supporting The Big Brew.
Who could host a Big Brew coffee morning or tea party????

Weekly Giving Envelopes.
If you were expecting a set of the green weekly giving envelopes and have not got them please contact Peter Graham (738470) or drop a note in the 'Giving in Grace' box. Also if you have not had envelopes in the past and would like a set please do likewise.

Remember also that provided you have signed a separate Gift Aid form and use these green coloured envelopes everything you place in your uniquely numbered envelope will benefit from gift aid - no need then to use the white envelopes on the pews.

This Lent the Bishops of our diocese are encouraging us ALL to participate in " Challenge" a diocesan Lent Course and Bible Study. Please look at the website and begin to think about participating. There will be the chance to participate in small groups and individually. Please pray about this challenge to us all.

At the back of church are two books- one for any prayer requests to be included in our daily personal prayers and another to record YOUR favourite hymn. The hymn requests will help as the music team plan the hymns and music for the next few months.

English Heritage require that, having received financial assistance for our repair work, we keep the church open for a certain number of hours. Visitors should contact the priest in charge or a churchwarden to arrange a visit.

Regular Giving. There are leaflets at the back of church explaining where our giving goes. Parish Share for Parish Ministry. This explains how the money is allocated. Please take a leaflet. Remember our church building costs £800 per week to run. Please consider giving regularly via envelopes or standing order. Contact Peter Graham (738470) for details.


Regular Giving Envelopes

The Regular Giving Envelopes for 2010 are now available. If you do not yet use this method of giving please consider it as it helps provide the church with a REGULAR income as an envelope is provided for each Sunday of the year. If you don't yet have a set they are available from Peter Graham (738470) but Ruth or a churchwarden will always pass your name on. There are leaflets at the back of church explaining how the scheme works. Setting up a Standing Order is an even better way of giving regularly - again contact me, Peter Graham, for details.

If you only give occasionally-please use the white envelopes provided in the pews which will enable us to claim back the tax on that individual gift. If you pay tax please Gift Aid your money.

If you pay Income Tax we can claim back the tax you paid on your contributions to All Saints. Please give this some thought and act on it.

Gift Aid Notes

  1. You can cancel this declaration at any time by notifying the stewardship secretary.
  2. Remember to notify the stewardship secretary if you no longer pay an amount of income tax, capital gains tax or tax on interest equal to the tax the PCC reclaims on your donations.
  3. If you pay tax at the higher rate you can claim further tax relief in your Self Assessment tax return.
  4. Please notify the stewardship secretary if you change your name or address.

Bell Ringing Practice Night

Bell ringing practice is now at 8pm on Thursday evenings until further notice.
New or experienced ringers always welcome.
