Who's got your Number? There has
been a growing crime trend across the country whereby car
numberplates are being stolen to be used in crime. This
means that the victim may also suffer from receiving
summons for unpaid parking and speeding tickets, or even
questioned regarding more serious crimes. In an effort to combat this problem, Bedfordshire Police and South Bedfordshire Community Safety Partnership have teamed up to offer to secure your number plates free of charge. This will be available at Heathfield School, Caddington. If you cannot attend at this time, the service will also be provide in the afternoon at the Village Hall Car Park, Slip End between 1:30pm and 4pm. This service is free, but is entirely at the risk of the car owner. The actual method of fixing the number plates will be discussed on the day and agreed with you prior to work being done. |
